After two years of separation, Eris and Rudeus have gone their separate ways. Rudeus has ended up in the Duchy of Basherand, to the north of the central continent. At this point, Elinalise enters the scene, a friend of Roxy and acquaintance of Paul, who crosses his path. Through this unexpected meeting, Rudeus finally gets clues about the whereabouts of his mother, Zenith. The plot unfolds as characters reunite and unravel the mysteries of their past and familial connections.
